Welcome to Piatra-Neamț, the World Capital of Informatics and Teamwork!
Between May 24th and 29th, 2026, Piatra-Neamț is hosting the international final of the International Informatics Olympiad in Teams — IIOT 2026. For the Neamț County School Inspectorate, this responsibility has, from the very beginning, meant seriousness, enthusiasm, and a sincere commitment to providing participants with an environment worthy of a competition of such magnitude.
This Olympiad demonstrates the power of an algorithm created through teamwork, as participants collaborate to solve complex problems by bringing together different ideas, complementary approaches, and mutual support. Its distinctive format shows us that the most robust solutions are never the result of a single way of thinking, and this is a valuable lesson that extends beyond the competition screens into real life.
Moreover, the very nature of this competition shows that excellence is not solely about individual brilliance. Teamwork is a genuine requirement of today’s labor market; it encourages mutual support and learning among peers, while creativity is born precisely from the exchange and confrontation of different ideas.
